Charlie Lanchester
Chief Investment Officer, Hearts & Minds Investments
Charlie is a former Managing Director of BlackRock, one of the world’s leading fund managers. He was head of the Fundamental Active Equities team in Australia. He has been a fund manager for 30 years with his career also spanning Schroders in London, Platinum Asset Management and Perpetual Investments where he was Deputy Head of Equities.
Charlie is the Chair of SurfAid, a not-for-profit charity committed to improving the health, wellbeing and resilience of families living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid operates in the remote areas of Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.
Charlie is also a director of The Australia Institute, a think tank based in Canberra.

Ruppen Margarian
Senior Dealer, First Sentier Investors
Ruppen Margarian is a Senior Dealer at First Sentier Investors, joining in 2012. He trades for multiple teams, covering Australia and 17 other markets across the Asia Pacific Region.
Before this, Ruppen spent over 15 years at ING Investment Management (INGIM) in Sydney, where his last role was Head of Trading, Australian Equities. He also served as the APAC Regional Trading Coordinator. Ruppen holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
He is a Fellow member of FINSIA and serves on the Board of The Australian Fund Managers Foundation. His career also includes roles at Permanent Trustees and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).
Geoffrey Wilson
Chairman & Chief Investment Officer, Wilson Asset Management
Geoff Wilson has over 44 years of experience in investment markets, holding senior roles in Australia, the UK, and the US. He founded Wilson Asset Management in 1997, growing it into a leading boutique Australian fund manager. In 2014, Geoff created Australia’s first listed philanthropic wealth creation vehicles, Future Generation Investment Company Limited and Future Generation Global Investment Company Limited.
Wilson Asset Management, based in Sydney, manages $5 billion across eight Listed Investment Companies on the Australian Stock Exchange for over 130,000 investors. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Management Qualification, and is a Fellow of FINSIA and AICD. He also serves on several boards, including Global Value Fund and Hearts and Minds Investments Limited.

Mark Burgess
Head of Distribution & Marketing, Magellan
Mark joined Magellan in 2010 as Head of Research Relationships and Key Account Manager, and was promoted to Head of Distribution and Marketing in July 2023.
Previously, he spent two years at Zurich Investments as a key account manager and head of research.
He also held distribution roles at Challenger Financial Services, including state manager of NSW and head of research relationships. Additionally, Mark worked in distribution at Colonial First State and BT Funds Management.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
Anu Kaarla
Equities Dealer, Tribeca Investment Partners
Anu Kaarla is an accomplished Equities Dealer at Tribeca Investment Partners, where she has expertly managed equities execution for over a decade.
Before joining Tribeca, Anu worked at Mercer’s Investment Consulting and Outsourcing businesses in Sydney.
She holds a Master’s in International Business from the London Metropolitan University (UK) and has global experience from studying and working across three continents.
Anu is deeply passionate about community service and actively contributes to making a positive impact. Since 2018, she has been a dedicated member of the Australian Fund Manager Foundation Steering Committee, leveraging her skills to support our mission.
Lachlan Ridhalgh
Analyst/Dealer, Eley Griffiths Group
Lachlan Ridhalgh is the dedicated dealer of Eley Griffiths Group and has over 18 years of financial market experience.
Lachlan previously worked at CCZ Statton Equities as a Designated Trading Representative (DTR).
Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Banking and Finance from the University of Technology Sydney.
Suri Surianti
Investment Analyst, Regal Funds Management
Suri joined Regal Funds Management in November 2020 as an Equities Dealer, where she specialised in domestic execution. In August 2023, she was promoted to Investment Analyst and now focuses on identifying investment opportunities in both listed and unlisted Emerging Companies. Prior to joining Regal, Suri was an analyst at a family office looking at domestic small and micro-cap stocks. She now has over seven years of experience in equity markets.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University.
