2025 Hall of Fame Inductee

David Pace Founding partner of Greencape Capital Inducted into the Australian Fund Manager Association Hall of Fame

The Australian Fund Manager Foundation is proud to announce that David Pace, founding partner of Greencape Capital, has been inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame.

With a career spanning three decades, Mr. Pace has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most respected and principled investors. As a co-founder of Greencape Capital in 2006 alongside Matthew Ryland and Marc Hester, he helped shape the firm into one of the nation’s leading equity managers, overseeing approximately $15 billion across its Australian equity strategies.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pace has been recognised not only for his investment acumen but also for his leadership, humility, and commitment to cultivating an egalitarian and values-driven culture. He has consistently credited Greencape’s enduring success to its collaborative ethos – one grounded in fairness, shared ownership, and genuine alignment across the team.

“I’m deeply honoured to be recognised by the Australian Fund Manager Foundation,” said Mr. Pace. “From the very beginning, we wanted to build a firm where everyone had a stake in the outcome – a place built on respect, transparency, and teamwork. I’m proud to see that culture endure and continue to drive success for our clients and people alike.”

This year marks Mr. Pace’s retirement from Greencape, closing a remarkable chapter in Australian funds management. His influence extends beyond investment results – he has shaped a generation of investors through his example of integrity, collaboration, and purpose-led leadership.

The Hall of Fame celebrates individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the Australian funds management industry. Mr. Pace becomes the 24th inductee, joining a distinguished list of the industry’s most respected figures.
